“Cinthya Alvarez likes to draw, although she also likes movies, aliens, vampires, literature, elves, elves, cats and dogs, talking to animals, crazy fashion, bad manners, castles, spaceships, going to the flea market and taking long walks. But when she’s not enjoying that, I swear you’ll almost certainly catch her drawing.”

My dear friend:

My name is Cinthya Alvarez, and I am a graphic designer and illustrator from Asturias, Spain.

As an illustrator I am represented by Advocate Art.

I’ve grown up drawing my favorite characters from movies, books and video games; now I’m lucky to create my own, and shape those of others.

I describe myself as a versatile artist who has worked on various projects, guided by the desire to learn and experiment.

My style is characterized by contrasts: I can illustrate both colorful and vibrant scenes and dark and mysterious stories.

Graphic designer~

Besides illustrating, I’m in charge of the creative studio La Magia together with the fantastic Óscar Vázquez.

Together we create brands and websites for projects and businesses that want to shine.

Detective of the past~

Working hand in hand with the magnificent Jose Alonso I keep track of postcards and old photographs (like this one).

At his side I also collaborate in L’Enfer Éditorial, making illustrated stories of the scariest nineteenth-century horror.

My clients include...

Editorial SM, El Barco de Vapor
Interior illustrations of the book “By profession, ghost”.

El País, RETINA Magazine
Illustration for the article “The risk of working with employees who are always obedient”.

Illustration for a thematic package of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

La Trivial
Cover for issue #27, Today’s youth is tomorrow’s country.

Duermevela Ediciones
Front and back cover of “Sorcerer to the crown” and redesign of their website.

Avilés City Council
Illustration for the anniversary of Pedro Menéndez.

Illustrations for the project “In the blood of our brothers”.
